UCSD STUDENT CHAPTER
Created in the Fall of 2013, the student chapter aims to follow the mission of the national chapter and creates networking opportunities for undergraduate students to self-organize, networking with like minded peers, collaborate to increase energy engineering awareness, and interact with energy professionals.
The student body are composed of people who are interested in the energy field/management and want to get fellow students and professional who also share the same career interest. In addition, we're meant to be a bridge (or an excuse) to take an hour or two (or more if we become more fun for you) out of your week to relax and socialize with your future friends. Let us help you. And you might help someone else through sharing your experience.
Our current faculty advisor is Professor Renkun Chen from MAE Department. In addition, you can find our constitution here.
We welcome undergraduate and graduate students of any discipline. To join us, click here.

STUDENT CHAPTER MISSION
NETWORK. As our organization establishes itself and gain more membership, we aim to create network opportunities between professionals in AEE and students. These opportunities come in the form of speaker event, dining with the prof-estional, site visits, and other social events. Furthermore, we encourage and hope to foster mentorship between professionals to students and even peer to peer.
TRAINING. What does it take to become a certified engineer? What kind of certification out there? We aim to provide workshops and seminar sessions to help members be informed of what it takes to arrive at their dream job in the energy industry. COLLABORATION. The basis of AEE is membership, building the organization's integrity and activities together. Here you will find people who are interesting, exploring career options, opened to make friends, and also interested in becoming an energy professional. Therefore, if you want to experiment with leadership and building your dream team, come to AEE gatherings and find people like (or unlike) you! |
